Toshiba upgrade assistant for windows 7, for upgrading from windows vista to windows 7 on laptops made in 2009 toshiba software installer for windows 7, for performing a custom installation of windows 7 ("clean install") on laptops made 2007-2009. We attempted to update windows vista to windows 7 in our toshiba satellite a500-137 computer using the disk that we obtained (as part of the free upgrade offer). we used the first disk and on-screen we followed the instructions to delete several programs (drivers for these programs in windows 7 would be provided later).. I purchased a toshiba satellite in 2007 and it has vista on it and we are trying to upgrade to windows 7 but with the toshiba upgrade assitant it won’t allow us to so i am scared to proceed with the windows 7 upgrade incase it stuffs the laptop..
Since most programs no longer support windows xp or vista, i decided to install the next "windows xp" on an ebay tablet pc. i may install windows 8 later on.. After finishing the upgrade to windows 7, the toshiba upgrade assistant is launched again at the first boot. click on the [next] button to continue. it starts to read the machine id and windows 7 components. click on the [next] button. when the "install windows 7 components" dialog box is displayed click on the [install] button..
