� How to Update Huawei Mate 9 (MHA-L29)  to Nougat 7.0 B190  [USA]



�� 1. Connect your phone to the computer and create a new folder �HWOTA� in the microSD card. Copy the 3 firmware files (update.zip, cust package & public data package) provided above to this folder.

2. Unplug the USB cable and turn your device off. Now, hold the Volume down button and insert the USB cable at the same � your phone will now enter Fastboot mode.

Step 3. On your computer, download the Huawei updater tool zip (link in Requirements) and extract the HWOTA folder from it.

�� 4. Open the extracted HWOTA folder and run the update.bat file as administrator. A window will open up asking you to reboot the phone in fastboot mode � as you�ve already done that, hit the Enter button to proceed.


 5. When the tool tells you to power your phone off, unplug the USB cable, hold the Power key to turn off and then reboot into TWRP mode by holding Volume up + Power for a few seconds. Once you�re in TWRP mode, plug in the USB cable again and press the Enter key on your computer twice.

Step 6. When the tool asks the update source, type �1� (without quotes) and press Enter. Next, it�ll ask you the update type, again type in �1� and press the Enter button twice.

In a few seconds, your phone will automatically reboot and start installing the update. Don�t try to interrupt it in any way (you can unplug the USB cable now though).




That�s it! Your Huawei Mate 9 (MHA-L29)  should now have Android 7.0 Nougat B190 installed! Go to Settings > About phone to verify.
