Start measuring your TV ads with the precision of digital

�The challenge with television is that there�s no link to click on,� says Alex Bain, Marketing Analyst for Nest. The company makes products for the thoughtful home, but was having a hard time understanding the effect of its TV ads on digital visits and sales.

Thats why the Nest marketing team turned to the Google Analytics 360 Suite while running a set of six TV ads last holiday season. The suites TV attribution features are designed to measure the impact of ads on search activity and website visits. As a result, Nest could see the channels and times of day where its ads had the most impact. The metrics arrive almost immediately, so the Nest team found itself spending less time trying to get answers and more time taking action on what they learned.

The life of a help center article

Google has dozens of help centers both for external and internal products. Our Technical Writers work hard to keep up with new features, constantly adding new articles, reviewing user feedback and usage metrics to improve existing content. They work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Marketing and other parts of the company to make sure their content is accurate and in line with the messages Google wants to convey.

The Google Analytics 360 Suite publishes 8 Help Centers, including Analytics, Tag Manager, Optimize, Attribution and others. With so much knowledge being shared, we thought it would be interesting to our users to understand how we produce this content and where our ideas come from. So we decided to talk to one of our Technical Writers, Rick Elliott, who is responsible for content published in the Data Studio Help Center.

Basically, all help content comes from asking the question: what does the user need? We hope the product is intuitive and easy to use so that extra help is not required, but there are always concepts or flows that require more explanation. So thats the start of a new Help Center article. Depending on the situation, a new article usually stems from 1 of 3 sources:

We launch a new feature and it requires documentation.
We get questions from users on the help forum that can be answered by a new article.
A writer gets a bee in their bonnet and decides we need to document something more fully.

After that, its a process of interviewing the subject matter experts and trying it through lots of sample reports to make sure the flows are right. Once the first draft is done, it is sent out for review and comments, but there may be another round of review and feedback before it gets published. Another big step in the help center content flow is localization: we usually get the translated content out a week or two after publishing the English version.

The Apple iPad Pro 9 7 has only 2GB of RAM

Apple made the 9.7-inch iPad Pro selling point for the device abundantly clear - it is apparently intended as a PC replacement. This did sound like kind of a stretch from the get go, considering the existence of the larger and more productivity-friendly 12.9-inch version of the same basic product. But as the smoke cleared, people started poking even more holes in the whole plan.

Yesterday, it became clear that the A9X chip powering the new iPad is underclocked and works at around 2.16 GHz, compared to the one inside the 12.9-inch model, that clocks in at 2.24GHz. But if that wasnt enough, today a few Geekbench screenshots have surfaced, showing that the new iPad Pro only has 2GB of RAM available, compared to 4GB in the 12.9-inch model.

Discussing such performance metrics has always been a taboo topic in the Apple realm and Cupertino will surely reaffirm its stance that iOS will run just as well on both devices. However, when you are going to toss around lofty statements of going after PC -rade productivity, this might be more of a valid discussion.

There is a easy way to fix the touch screen problem on Allwinner tablets after flashing. This method will work only if debug mode is on. If touch screen is not working and debug mode is off , you need to attach usb keyboard with Android tablet and try to find a way to turn debug mode on. If there is will there is way.

Download Android Calibration2.Apk

1.Install Any android Pc Suit on computer .

2. Connect your tablet to Pc Suit and install Calibration2.apk via any Android Pc Suit. (There are many Android PC Suits available . Mobogenie , Wondershare etc)

3. Open Calibration App .
4. Click on + icon to set calibration for TS.
The best thing is about Calibration2.apk is its auto correct x,y axes on Touch Screen.

Note:- Unfortunately I have not use this app other than Allwinner Tablets. I am not sure it will work or not on other tablets.As soon as I am able to try it with multiple tabs , I will update results. You can also post results in Comment Section.

They Float Through the Air With the Greatest of Ease

This afternoon, after a quality nap, and some quiet time in the camper, we headed back to the welcome center at the Cape Hatteras KOA for the "tie dye extravaganza." We did this last year as well and the shirts made for great souvenirs that the boys still wear--so call it a new summer tradition. You could bring your own shirt or pay five bucks and buy one from the staff--they had a variety of sizes laid out on a table in the stage room next to the pool.

After we bought our shirts the summershiners (younger summer staffers) helped us bunch them up with rubber bands before we headed back outside to the buckets of dye. The boys took their color selections very seriously...

Of course, mommy did help...

Then, to celebrate our awesome new t-shirts, we decided to take one last swim before dinner and do a spontaneous aerial show...

Wes watched from the shade on the side of the pool, only mildly amused by his brothers hijinx. He sees this stuff at home all day long...

After our cool dip we were all ravenously hungry. So we headed back to our site and Stephanie rocked out a delicious chicken caesar salad. Then we all gathered around and shared a nice meal and talked about the day...

And drank some cold milk...

And played some cards on the carpet...

It was my favorite day of summer so far. And this road trip is just getting started.

The Snapdragon 600 series of SoCs

In my eyes, the most interesting and dynamic section of the mobile market is the mid range. These are largely phones priced approximately between �130 and �250 and generally offer a specification that is more than acceptable for most users.

While there are multiple vendors offering SoCs in this price bracket, the largest is, of course, Qualcomm. In this post I will outline the core components of the 600 series SoCs and provide a look up table for the currently active model numbers.

Snapdragon 600 series Overview

Qualcomm offers its Snapdragon 600 series of SoCs to the mid range, with the series fitting between the entry level 400 series (Quad core A53s) and high end 800 series (6-8 core ARM or Quad core Kryo).

Unlike the 400 and 800 series, the performance spread through the 600 range is quite substantial, which once again makes it the most interesting of the series for me.

Before we get to the SoCs, it is worth looking at the cores that are contained within them.

Big and Little ARM Cores

ARM Cortex A53

The A53 is a little ARM core, optimised for power efficiency over performance.

ARM Cortex A72

The A72 is a big ARM core, optimised for performance. A72 offers around 50% more performance than A53 at the same frequency.

The A72 is the successor to the A57, as found in the 2015 Snapdragon flagships the 810 and 808. It offers both a performance improvement (around 20%) over the A57, as well as a notable reduction in power consumption (around 15%). The power reduction in particular was a welcome enhancement after the overheating issues that plagued flagship Snapdragon 810 phones throughout 2015.

GPU cores

The following GPU cores are found within Snapdragon 600 series SoCs:

Adreno 405

Qualcomms entry level GPU in the 600 series

Adreno 506

I have not managed locate benchmark scores for the Adreno 506, as found in devices running the Snapdragon 625 such as the Samsung Galaxy C7 (which, as of the time of writing, has not been released). It goes without saying performance will be somewhere between the 405 and 510.

Adreno 510

In my tests, the Adreno 510 in the Snapdragon 650 offers around 3 times the performance of the Adreno 405
