Flash and ROM update China Android Smartphone all installation method Here

As Chinese android smartphones have become more and more popular, and the users also increase largely, but we may face a problem of update our android smartphone or get a ROM to flash our phone, and then release more storage. Now we will introduce the updated guides about how to flash your android smartphone?
Note: Don�t do it without any firmware prepared and if you wanna have a try, please do it at your own risk.
There are actually 2 steps in flashing your phone into a newer firmware.

Card flash
Cable flash

1. Card Flash

CARD FLASH: it means using your SD Card to install the firmware, much easier and less risky, however, you need to have the recovery installed.WHAT YOU NEED:
Micro SD Card Storage: preferably at least 4 GB
Battery: fully charge or not below 70%

STEP BY STEP PROCESS:

Your ROM (in zip format) send it to your SD card, Remember not to unzip, and make sure your SD card is not corrupted (blank is preferable).

Turn off your phone, insert SD Card.

Insert Battery, Enter RECOVERY MODE (Normally done by pressing Power Button and Volume � Key Simultaneously) Or you may use Volume Up (+) depending on your device. Hold for 8 secs until you go to Recovery Mode (Menu System with Dark background)

When you enter Recovery Mode, You will see options (see image below). Touch Navigation doesn�t work, instead Volume Up and Down key and Power Button for confirmation or enter.

First you need to wipe data and also data caches before flashing.

Then choose install zip from SD card and Confirm (power button)

After that your new ROM will be flashed to your phone, remember that if the ZIP is corrupted, security measures �installation will be aborted� or if your are trying to flash the wrong ROM.

Reboot your phone

NOTE: if you encountered an error where your SD card is not recognized or detected by the phone, please wipe the data or format your SD card (blank) send ROM back again to SD card and then insert on phone.

2. Cable Flash

CABLE FLASH: Is much more complex and riskier. When is it used? For example, a ROM update from Android 4.2 to Android 4.4 kitkat. Where you need to install a completely new system from scratch. In this area Card Flash is practically useless.
WHAT YOU NEED
USB Data cable
Battery, fully charge or not below 70%
Computer (windows 7, haven�t tested with Windows 8)
ZIP File (rename it in English)
STEP BY STEP PROCESS:

Install msxm16 or 6575/6577 USB Driver (older) for dual core versions
Install USB Driver, try to connect Phone and PC, see if it is detected (go to device manager), if not, reinstall and reboot pc.
Extract Flash tool (newest one for MT6589) SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1304.0.119 or later
NOTE: Flash tool is soooo buggy, sometimes it works, and other times doesn�t. If it doesn�t work, you need to install a newer one or sometimes a previous version works. Extract ROM on desktop (you may place all the files on the desktop to make it easier).
Remove battery from phone, SD Card
Open Flash tool.exe, click Scatter loading and look for �MT6577_scatter_emmc.txt� all files should be ticked.
NEWER ROMS (�Samsung5410_Android_scatter_emmc�), doesn�t allow you to continue, please rename to �MT6589_scatter_emmc.txt� (if you have a MT6589 phone). it should look like this �MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt�
Click firmware Upgrade, Insert Battery (do not start phone) and connect your phone to pc via USB. and leave it be
Wait until the green circle shows (please do not interrupt) firmware update is done and now you

Q&A�
Q: Flash tool error with (�Samsung5410_Android_scatter_emmc�) doesn�t start
A: Rename it please to �MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt� (if your phone uses MT6589, if not, use MT6577)
Q: Can�t Start Up the flash tool
A: Close it, or you may need to restart your computer, and make sure the folder name is all in English
Q: Shows nothing after clicking fimware upgrade
A: Please reinstall driver, reboot, and free USB port with other peripherals.
Q: Flash tool recognizes but seems to have problems flashing,
A: Like i said, it�s very buggy, so you need to use another flash tool (preferable a newer one especially for MT6589 phones)
Q: Upgrade but stuck at 50 or 76% or any percentage.
A: Click stop, you may reflash again, don�t worry this doesn�t brick your phone, Make sure the battery has more than enough juice in it.
Q: Startup Stuck or nonresponsive after rebooting.
A: Wait at least 3 minutes, Reinsert battery and start again, if not, Reflash (ive experience this before, and reflashing did the trick)

1. Download ToolStudio eMMC Download Tool from any of the links above. Once downloaded, decompress the ZIP File on a folder on your PC and then, launch the setup contained in that folder as Admin.

2. Open the text file contained in the same folder as the setup file. It contains the password for Tool Studio eMMC Download Tool. Copy the password and paste it where Tool Studio eMMC download tool asks/prompts for password and click OK.

3. Download and install your Qualcomm android devices drivers on your PC. If your device has been bricked, you must download and install Qualcomm QDLoader HS USB Bulk drivers too. Download Qualcomm QDLoader HS USB Bulk Drivers from here.

4. Download the Stock Firmware for your Qualcomm android device. NOTE: Tool Studio can flash .mbn and .bin files with .xml file map only.

5. If the firmware you downloaded is compressed in a .zip or .rar file, decompress/unzip the firmware you downloaded in a folder on your PC.

6. Now, on Tool Studio, click browse and navigate to the folder where you unzipped the firmware and select it.

7. To view the phones partitions contained in that firmware and select which ones are to be flashed, click Advance. And the next Window will display all the partitions.
Mark the ones you wish to flash or Select All.

8. Now, connect the phone to the PC. Make sure you remove the battery from the phone and insert it again. If the phone has a sealed battery, simply put off the phone.

9. Wait few seconds, then click Refresh. Tool Studio should display the connected device and its COM Port.

10. Now, click Start All or Start to begin the flashing operation. The flashing operation should not take more than 5 minutes. When the flashing operation is complete, Tool Studio will fill the progress bar with GREEN ink and you may then disconnect the device from the PC.

The Lively Little Campers Welcome Their First Guest Bloggers New Zealand Here They Come!

The Lively Little Campers have met several other kindred RV Travelers through this blog and we always love to hear about their adventures on the open road. So when we found out that John and Cathy, two of our long time readers, were heading to New Zealand for an RV trip, we just knew that we had to get in on the action! Since we arent able to hop on a plane and join them we decided to invite them to do some guest blogging about their trip preparations and the trip itself. When the boys get old enough for international RV travel I hope to look back at these posts as a guide for our own New Zealand Adventure. So John and Cathy, welcome to our blog! We wish you safety and joy on your epic adventure!

The Needle in a New Zealand Haystack

Have you ever tried to find a needle in a haystack? How about finding a person in a country of four million plus? That was the task we faced as we tried to find and contact the exchange student that we took on a cross country trip 12 years ago.

I first met Ria at an organization meeting of the track team that I was coaching at the high school where I was teaching. During the track season she became one of the athletes that I depended on. She was more mature than most of the other students since she had already completed high school in New Zealand. On the day that she informed me that her host was ill and could not travel over the summer, it became obvious to me that she could accompany us on a trip to Berkeley, California to visit my daughter and new grandson. She was an excellent traveler and my wife and I came to appreciate her maturity and her stories of New Zealand.

Many years later, once we decided to visit New Zealand, we knew that seeing Ria and meeting her family would be an important part of the adventure. A letter was soon dispatched to her address, but it was returned. She and her parents had moved. She married, but again that address drew a blank. The email address that we had also elicited no response. We were about to give up trying to reunite with our �travel daughter.� She is here, taking a break from hiking in the Grand Canyon.

However, serendipity came to our rescue. Coming home from work one day we found that the ceiling in our �office� had fallen in. What a mess we faced, plaster and dust everywhere. In cleaning the mess, I found a map of New Zealand. On the map, two cities were highlighted. One was the capital of New Zealand, Wellington, a big city. The second was a much smaller town, Cromwell on the South Island. I was so excited, I googled Cromwell and found the New Zealand equivalent of the Chamber of Commerce. I emailed them with my tale of woe, not being able to find my former exchange student. I gave them her name, and what I thought was her married name, Smith. The next day I received an email from Ria�s father!

Imagine how excited we were at finally being able to connect with this young lady that we had not heard from since a thank you note for a wedding gift from 2006. Since then Chris, Ria�s dad, has sent us material and given us much advice about our trip. This has taken a lot of anxiety out of our planning. By the way, I had the last name wrong, really wrong. That was why I could not find her on Facebook or other social media.

We really can�t wait to see Ria, her husband and young son, as well as her mom and dad. This is a picture of Ria from her wedding, she looked so radiant and happy.

A connection had been made across the length of North America and the Pacific Ocean.
