Before Starting

Take care of following tasks before you proceed with flashing custom ROM:

Task 1: Install USB drivers for your device on your PC.

Task 2: Be sure to backup your data including Contacts, SMS / MMS, APN & MMS Settings as well as photos and videos stored on your device�s internal or external storage.

Task 3: Make sure that your device is well charged. Ideally, the battery level should be around 60-80%. The more the better.

Task 4: USB Debugging should be enabled on your device.

Important: Most of the custom ROM will not have Google Apps in them. So, you will have to download and install GApps manually.

Also take nandroid backup before installing

Done with preliminary precautionary steps? So, here�s the guide:

TWRP recovery let�s you do a number of cool stuff but the whole point of having a custom recovery is to be able to flash unsigned .zip files. These .zip files could be anything from a custom kernel, boot, recovery, MODs or full custom ROMs.






Let�s see how to flash a lineage os rom on Galaxy Grand Prime (grandprimeve3g) using TWRP recovery.

How to Install a unofficial Lineageos on Galaxy Grand Prime (grandprimeve3g)


  1. Download and transfer the unofficial Lineage os ROM and Gapps for linage os you wish to flash to your device�s storage.

  2. Boot your device into TWRP recovery.

  3. Select �Wipe� from TWRP main menu and do a �Swipe to Factory Reset� on the bottom of screen.
    ? Note: This will factory reset your device. If your custom ROM doesn�t require a factory reset, then simply skip this step.
  4. Go back to TWRP main menu, tap on �Install� and select the unofficial Lineage os  ROM .zip file and gapps for lineage os that you transferred to your device in Step 1.

  5. After selecting the .zip file, do �Swipe to Confirm Flash� on the bottom of screen to begin the custom ROM installation process. This may take some time.

  6. Once your ROM is successfully flashed, you�ll see �Wipe cache/dalvik� option, select it and then do �Swipe to wipe� on bottom of screen.

  7. Once cache & dalvik wipe completes, hit the �Back� button on-screen and then select �Reboot System� button.

  2. Kabel USB.
  3. Komputer dengan sistem operasi windows. Minimal windows 7 ke atas.

Penting!!!
  • Pastikan Baterai dalam kondisi normal dan posisi kapasitas baterai lebih dari 60%.
  • Pastikan Redmi 4X anda sudah dalam posisi unlock bootloader.
  • Metode dengan file pendukung ini hanya berfungsi di Redmi 4X. Jangan coba di Xiaomi seri lainnya.

Langkah-Langkah Memasang TWRP

  1. Matikan Redmi 4X Anda, kemudian tekan tombol power dan volume down secara bersamaan. Pada langkah ini, kita akan masuk ke fastboot mode.
  1. Ekstrak file TWRP Installer yang sudah anda download tadi
  2. Jalankan file twrp-installer.bat dengan akses administrator (Klik kanan, run as administrator). twrp installer.bat
  3. Tekan sembarang tombol di keyboard untuk melanjutkan. sembarang tombol di keyboard
  4. Sambungkan Redmi 4X anda dengan komputer menggunakan kabel USB. Pastikan masih dalam posisi fastboot mode.
  5. Tunggu sampai proses flashing selesai. Tekan sembarang tombol keyboard untuk reboot ke recovery.
  6. reboot setelah selesai flashing
  7. Selamat anda sudah berhasil memasang TWRP by Cofface

Langkah-Langkah Root Redmi 4X

  1. Pindahkan file root installer yang sudah anda download ke memori internal.
  2. Masuk mode recovery ( TWRP), dan anda akan menemukan beberapa opsi setup recovery.
  3. Pilih menu install, cari file root installer yang sudah anda pindahkan ke memori internal.
  4. Tekan slide to install, tunggu sampai proses selesai. Restart Redmi 4X anda.
  5. Silahkan install root checker atau aplikasi lainnya untuk memastikan Redmi 4X ada dalam posisi ter-root.

*nb (update) - update dari rom global stabil 8.0.3.0/8.0.8.0 langsung via updater - kalau dari rom global dev/china dev(6.x.xx) flash dulu ke global dev 8.0.3.0 via miflash, tutor di doc - dari miui 7 global stabil langsung via updater - itu hanya untuk redmi 3s sama 3x gan . dan bisa dari rom berapa aja yang penting global stable dan resmi udah nggak abal" lagi . contoh 7.5.4.0 , 7.5.9.0 , 8.0.3.0 , 8.0.5.0, 8.0.8.0 . hanya 4 digit . kalau ini 7.5.4.0.0 ini abal" karena 5 digit . ini juga 7.5.9.0 karena miui 7 hanya sampai 7.5 . 7.8.21.8 ini juga dan gak bisa akan bisa dapat pembaharuan solusinya harus pindah ke Rom resmi dulu pake PC

** Tested on my Redmi 3X **
Your bootloader must be unlocked and TWRP recovery must be installed.
Features :

Bahan-Bahan :
1. File Rom : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By...
2. GAPPS: http://opengapps.org/ , pilih ARM64, 6.0, pico (recomended)
Cara Pemasangan:
  1. Harus sudah UBL dan wajib ROOT, harus sudah terpasang TWRP yang permanen.
  2. Taruh file ROM & GAPPS ke folder sdcard paling depan.
  3. Reboot ke Recovery TWRP.
  4. Wipe "Data", "Dalvik", "Dalvik Cache" (jangan wipe sistem, nanti gagal install dan bootloop)
  5. Swipe to confirm
  6. Pilih Menu Install
  7. Cari dan pilih file ROM nya
  8. Swipe to confirm
  9. Tunggu sekitar 15 menit
  10. Success, langsung install Gapps (gak usah clear cache dalvik )
  11. reboot to system
  12. Muncul animasi MI, dilajutkan dengan animasi Xperia (booting)
  13. Tunggu sampai muncul memilih bahasa perangkat
  14. Ini sudah berhasil dan nikmati ROM baru anda
Review singkat:
Setelah beberapa hari menggunakan ROM ini, hampir secara keseluruhan lancar jaya, gak nemu bug apapun, termasuk bug data switch yang disebutkan di dalam sumber di bawah. ada beberapa aplikasi yang terkadang force stop tapi gak masalah karena pas dibuka lagi langsung bisa. untuk kelebihan dan kekurangan ane buat point2 aja biar gampang
Kelebihan:
1. performa muslitasking lebih ringan dibangingin waktu pake MIUI
2. banyak pilihan tema (Cyanogenmod ROM Themes)
3. Sangat Stabil
4. performa gaming oke banget, udah di coba sniper fury (High) lancar, N.O.V.A 3 juga lancar (AnTuTu sekitar 40rban)
Kekurangan:
1. dalam keadaan tertentu, waktu hpnya di cas itu lumayan panas
2. masalah finger print ane bagi 2:
  • gak tau apakah Fingerprint ini akan ada di semua device (terkait masalah manufaktur goodix/FPC)
  • fingerprint kurang akurat ( entah karena jari ane yang sering basah atau emang kurang akurat)
3. GAK ADA PILIHAN LTE ( Bisa diakalin lewat cara yang *#*#4636#*#* )
4. kekuatan menangkap sinyal berkurang. jarang banget full sinyalnya

Kesimpulannya Rom ini sangat oke untuk penggunaan sehari-hari, terutama bagi yang lebih suka tampilan dan UI stock android :))
